Too nice,
What is too nice?
Is too nice, someone who calls you back when you want them to?
Or is too nice, someone who shows up for a date on time?
Is too nice, someone who knows how to make you smile when you're feeling low?
Or is too nice, someone who can share his feelings with you, so you always know what's on his mind?
What is too nice?
Is too nice, someone who remembers important dates in the year?
Or is too nice, someone who buys you a gift just because he can and you deserve it?
Is too nice, someone who can converse with you on an intellectual level?
Or is too nice, someone who enjoys your music?
What is too nice?
Is too nice, someone who tells you that you are beautiful, when you feel you are not?
Or is too nice, someone who supports your dreams and ambitions?
Is too nice, someone who can cook and clean for himself and you?
Or is too nice, someone who is not afraid to love?
What is too nice?
Is too nice too good to be true?
Well I am not a lie.
Peace.
A Gentleman's Mind
I am a very creative person. My mind is constantly busy with millions of ideas. This is just a small outlet of the things that come from my head. I might write poetry. I might write songs or stories, or just simply ramble about things going on in my life. This is just a small release for myself.

The Beast
You look at me,
Starring deep into the windows of my soul,
Eyes squinting,
Turning red,
Focusing hard,
Trying to see what is in my heart,
And it angers you,
As you find nothing,
A useless machine that just pumps blood around my body,
You laugh at me,
Call me names,
abuse me,
Shout at me,
Shout so loud my ears are still ringing,
You growl at me,
You roar to try to scare me,
But I do not budge,
I just look away,
You are so angry with me,
You wish you could touch me,
But you are held back,
You want to break free so you can tear me apart,
Beat me down,
Scratch me,
Bite me,
Throw me around,
Punish me until I submit,
You wish you could end the suffering,
End the pain,
You wish you could kill me,
But killing me would mean killing you,
Because you see what I see,
You feel what I feel,
You stare at me while I look at you,
The man in the mirror,
Is you.
Starring deep into the windows of my soul,
Eyes squinting,
Turning red,
Focusing hard,
Trying to see what is in my heart,
And it angers you,
As you find nothing,
A useless machine that just pumps blood around my body,
You laugh at me,
Call me names,
abuse me,
Shout at me,
Shout so loud my ears are still ringing,
You growl at me,
You roar to try to scare me,
But I do not budge,
I just look away,
You are so angry with me,
You wish you could touch me,
But you are held back,
You want to break free so you can tear me apart,
Beat me down,
Scratch me,

Throw me around,
Punish me until I submit,
You wish you could end the suffering,
End the pain,
You wish you could kill me,
But killing me would mean killing you,

The man in the mirror,
Is you.

Now You Want Me
Hello,
Oh its you,
The last time I heard,
From you,
You text me happy birthday with a smiley face,
But you wasn't with me then,
You trying to act like you're my friend,
But you're not,
you're my ex,
What is it you want from me,
Its 12 o'clock,
I'm trying to sleep,
You say,
you've been thinking bout me lately,
And that you realized that maybe,
You made a mistake,
Well what can I say,
You had your chance with me,
But you did not stay,
You said I was the best you ever had,
No man treated you better,
But you thought that you could find better,
But how wrong was you,
What did your last man do,
I heard that he beat on you,
And now you're saying you was a fool,
For leaving me,
'Cause you didn't believe in me,
So you went to where the papers at,
Trying to find a man with stacks,
My poor self didn't fit in your lifestyle,
So you got f***ed by a by a bunch of playaz while,
I,
worked hard,
And persevered,
And now I'm doing well for myself,
If you stayed,
I would've shared my wealth,
But hey,
You couldn't see,
The determination I had in me,
To be the best man I can be,
To protect and provide,
Is my prime directive,
This is a side,
That you neglected,
Now you regret it,
How pathetic,
I hope you understand,
That it was my initial plan,
To forever be your man,
But now it is past tense,
You see,
Being with me made sense,
But you didn't get it,
Until now,
But now is too late,
'Cause I didn't wait,
And I met someone great,
Who appreciates,
The love I give,
The love you had,
You can't get it back,
So that is that,
And you can not be mad,
At me,
Just you,
Because at the time,
I could not wine and dine,
Being a good man wasn't enough,
So you could not be mine,
Fine,
Sorry things didn't work out for you,
I hope you find a man who,
Can treat you like I used to,
But it will be hard to find,
I ain't got an ego,
But I'm 1 in a million though,
I got potential,
Through the ceiling,
I'm sorry if you're feeling,
If I'm rubbing it in,
But my new girl won the lottery with me you see,
So now,
You want me,
Well,
I'm sorry,
You could have,
If only,
You had,
A little faith,
in me,
I made a guarantee,
That you would always be happy,
If you had stayed with me,
But you did not listen to me,
So,
You felt you had to go
No,
My worth you did not know,
Oh,
So the loving that I gave,
The compliments I made,
All the time that I had slaved,
For the dough,
Was for show?
You could not recognize,
That all the sleepless nights,
Everything that I had tried,
It was for,
You have the audacity,
To tell me you're sorry,
And you want another chance,
Knowing I'm someone else's man,
Damn,
You really must be slipping,
Was is it that you're drinking,
To make you think that we can,
Go back,
Do you think you can compare,
To my girl who's laying here,
She was here when you wasn't where,
You should have been,
She supported me,
She actually believed,
That I would achieve,
All the goals I set for me,
She stood by,
When I stared defeat in the eye,
And cried,
She'd lie,
Beside me and say,
That no matter how hard the strain,
I will help you ease the pain,
If we can't make it there by car,
We can always take the train,
And so she
Witnessed me be,
The success that I need,
To protect and provide,
For my family,
Our future family,
'Cause there's no way that I plan to be,
Living my life without her see,
She was the only one who had faith in me,
We have support for each other unquestionably,
It was destiny,
Or it was fate,
Doesn't matter 'cause this feels great,
So,
Before you go,
I'll let you know one thing,
That very soon,
She'll wear a wedding ring,
And I'm hoping that,
Some times that you'll look back,
And see what you could have had,
And it makes you feel real bad,
Your loss,
Bye.
Oh its you,

Determination
I'm not quite there,
But I will make it,
When I see the opportunity,
I will take it,
Like a rugby ball to the goal line,
Using the creativity in my mind,
To achieve my goals,
And become a champion of my life,
Busting ceilings,
The only way is up,
Because I'll make my own,
I don't need any luck,
I don't give a f---,
You can never stop me,
I'm nailed down to the ground,
So that you can never drop me,
I'm taller than the buildings,
So that you can never top me,
And I got the master key,
So that you can never lock me,
My power is from my heart,
Tearing all doubts apart,
I am meant to be successful,
It was the plan from the start.
But I will make it,
When I see the opportunity,
I will take it,
Like a rugby ball to the goal line,
Using the creativity in my mind,
To achieve my goals,
And become a champion of my life,
Busting ceilings,

Can't Wait To Get Home
I am sitting on the bus,
And I can't wait to get home,
I got a text from my baby,
Saying 'I got some food when you get home',
Oh, I can imagine her,
Standing in the kitchen,
Cooking up a storm,
But I'd have to do the dishes,
It doesn't matter,
I'll enjoy myself,
When she cooks for her man,
She looks out for my health,
She says the longer I live,
The longer I will love her,
And with that, I can't disagree,
Because my love for her,
Is incredible,
So much she can not live with out me,
And I with out her,
I am so sure,
That it was fate or destiny,
I am almost home,
I can smell her cooking,
I know what's for dinner,
Without even looking,
I open the door,
And show my lady my loving,
But then she says baby,
I have a bun in the oven...
And I can't wait to get home,
I got a text from my baby,
Saying 'I got some food when you get home',
Oh, I can imagine her,
Standing in the kitchen,
Cooking up a storm,
But I'd have to do the dishes,
It doesn't matter,

But then she says baby,
I have a bun in the oven...
Suspect
She glows,
Just like she did when we first made love,
Months after we first locked eyes,
I sigh,
At night when she sleeps beside me,
Wondering what is on her mind,
She wears skirts to work,
Shorter than they used to,
She is doing this to impress who,
Is there another man in her life,
Someone new,
I haven't a clue,
Just suspicions,
I want to interrogate her,
Ask her many questions,
But I am afraid,
Afraid that she will lie,
Because I can see the real answers in her eyes,
My soul would just die,
Why,
Am I not enough for her,
I have given years to her,
Never have I had fears for her,
Leaving me,
Deceiving me,
Like I am not the guy that bought her an engagement ring,
I thought she was a sure thing,
Now she wears the perfume she saves for special occasions,
Special occasions has become more often and never includes me,
It used to be my favorite,
Now its just a sign,
Reminding me of a woman who once was mine,
And mine alone,
And now I'm lying to myself,
That it is fine,
So why am I up late at night,
Drinking wine,
Drinking vodka,
Drinking brandy,
Drinking whatever takes this pain away,
But it won't,
Because my suspicions are as clear as day.
Just like she did when we first made love,
Months after we first locked eyes,
I sigh,
At night when she sleeps beside me,
Wondering what is on her mind,
She wears skirts to work,
Shorter than they used to,
She is doing this to impress who,

Saved Me
I was in a dark place,
Where happiness dies,
I could see no future,
My soul just cries.
The pain,
The suffering,
Where was the love?
Then she came in to my life,
Like she was sent from above.
A woman of strength,
Passion,
Purity and Independence,
Never before have I seen a woman with such elegance.
She saved me,
She saved me from the darkness,
Brought me into the light,
When I thought I had given up,
She urged me to fight.
Fight for life,
Fight for love,
Fight for her,
This woman has got my heart,
I would die for her.
There is nothing in this world,
That can compare to what she gave me,
She is the one I will love forever more,
The amazing woman who saved me.
Where happiness dies,
I could see no future,
My soul just cries.
The pain,
The suffering,
Where was the love?
Then she came in to my life,
Like she was sent from above.
A woman of strength,

Never before have I seen a woman with such elegance.
